Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is best known for the films Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In the 1980s the actress began her acting career, and was popular with the role of Tezaab which she played alongside veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her subsequent appearance on screen was in Dil with Aamir. Early on, as a teenager in the middle class of Mumbai, she learned to dance. When she was young when she began to act, she struggled as many films she made were not successful. She finally found success, and went on to be one of the most well-known actresses within the Indian film industry. Following her marriage, she took some time to rest from her acting career until she returned. In the last few years, Dixit had a major role to play on Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit won eight Filmfare Awards out of the 15 she was up for nominations. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize awarded to civilians in India was awarded to her. She also has a reputation for social activism.
