Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. When she was a kid, she listened to lots of classical music as well as the old boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is enthusiastic about operas and tangos. Also, she loves dramatic performances. The mother of her child taught her to sing, however she started singing under Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera tenor. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses from Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She also sings in solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a teacher and musician she has a passion for numerous community projects because of her love and love for music. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently an instructor in the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her performance music from Latin American traditional songs, she can instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations in keeping the music vibrant.
